Kids’ valentines ideas are all over the web right now. I especially love all the ideas that aren’t sweets. Like the homemade heart-shaped crayons, felt bookmarks or bouncy balls.
For both of my preschoolers, I ended up putting together these little glow stick Valentines. I was inspired by this blog and found the glow sticks in the dollar bins at Target. (15 for $1) They are incredibly simple to make and I know my kids love glow sticks, so surely they’ll be a hit!

It looks like the two and a half year old class will be getting a couple glow sticks because that’s what Adrianne and I made too! I thought it was such a cute and easy idea when I found it on pinterest.
Nice work!! …after letting the kids look through a couple ideas on pinterest yesterday, they decided on the heart crayons. Hopefully we can actually get it done! If not..then we will be buying some princess and cars valentines 🙂
Thanks for the great ideas. I made the glow stick Valentine’s card for my daycare kids. I love the fact that they aren’t candy.
Thanks for sharing your template for the glow stick cards! I made the crayon hearts for my kindergarteners last year (cute, but very time-consuming!) and I picked up glow sticks today at Target. Super cute!!! They’ll love them.
Love this idea! Thanks for the download!!

How do you write the name on the line? I can’t figure that out. When I try to, it moves spaces but nothing shows up. Thanks!
Hi Kylie,
What beautiful work you do! I’m trying to recreate this to read “Valentine, I’m over the RAINBOW for you!” Can you tell me what fonts you used or what you would charge to change the text?
I can’t seem to get the pdf link to download for me. Could you please email it to jabailie@gmail.com
Thanks ever so much!
Hi,
I was wondering if you have the source information for the “Valentine You Color My World” crayon valentine that you have pictured attached to bicycle spokes via clothes pins? When I click on the picture, it takes me to the bouncy ball source.
Thanks,
Amy

Thanks jammie
I saw this idea and new it was perfect for my son’s class. He is in special Ed (very high function but is non verbal) there are kids in his class who are tube fed so they can’t eat candy. We use glow sticks sometimes in therapy mostly for fun. Anyway, thank you so much for the idea and easy PDF file. These will be a big hit!!
Love The idea, but how do you insert name of child on it? Thank you!
Hello. And Bye.
Love the glow stick idea and my daughter loved it also…already went out to buy them today. I cant figure out how to insert my childs name on the pdf. Can you email an editable version to me? I would greatly appreciate it.

Hello colleagues, how is everything, and what you want to say concerning this piece
of writing, in my view its genuinely awesome in favor
of me.
I blog often and I truly thank you for your content.
This article has really peaked my interest.
I will take a note of your website and keep checking for new details about
once a week. I subscribed to your Feed as well.
Thank you for the PDF. It’s a brilliant idea and I will be using it for my daughters class.
I love the glow ones except for the fact that they are grammatically incorrect. They should read “Happy Valentine’s Day”, or “Happy Valentine’s”. The day originally belonged to a Saint, not to the cards. Any chance’s that will be changed before Friday?
These are SO AWESOME!!! Thank you so much for the awesome ideas and printable!
